Celebrating Indigenous people's Day  Celebrating Indiginous People's Day in partnership with Columbus Day is growing more and more popular. Honoring our Native American Tribe's legacies began in 1989, now 30 years ago in South Dakota. It has begun to spread to other states. You can read more about it here:  Wiki on Indiginous People's Day  The day that has since October 12th in 1490, been celebrated, we call Columbus Day has proud as well as negative connotations and the addition of this day is now offered as a replacement to our Native Americans which Americas are now celebrating in unison with Columbus Day.
