You can choose this print here We are seriously considering a full-blown, well I should say, almost All-Out Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings, just no Holiday bird or Ham.    Nope we are not vegetarians, and certainly not Vegans, not that there's (Jerry Seinfeld) anything wrong with that. But we've been doing a lot of reading and testing the healthy waters of food intake choices. Eggs with mushrooms and onions, but no breakfast sausage or cheese for this morning's breakfast. Last night was broccoli cheddar soup with a lot of extra cruciferous veggies, broccoli, cauliflower and orange and yellow carrots added. No lunch yesterday and a chicken sausage with eggs and home grown red potatoes steam-fried at a very low heat.  So I guess for the last 3 meals only one with meat. It seems the older we get the more people we know who are experiencing heart and cancer issues. So it only makes sense to move in a far healthier direction w

Celebrating Indigenous people's Day  Celebrating Indiginous People's Day in partnership with Columbus Day is growing more and more popular. Honoring our Native American Tribe's legacies began in 1989, now 30 years ago in South Dakota. It has begun to spread to other states. Old Amboy Grange Hall Door     To see a much better resolution link to the photo Old Amboy Grange Door    From a bygone era of American history, though this building still exists today. I remember from the days when my Grandpa used to take me fishing. We'd get to the lake early, like 6am early, then when we had the fish in the cooler, we'd drop by the Grange Hall to boast about our catch. memories we have from our childhood never leave us, nor should they.

Trekking? or Purchasing the Palouse? If you've never been to the 'Palouse Falls State Park', near LaCrosse, Washington, I highly recommend you do so. It will be worth every mile it takes to get there.   But if driving there is simply not in your plans, you can view it here Palouse River Canyon Buttes There so much to see, in both the scablands of the Cheney-Palouse to the basalt cliffs dropping into the canyon where the Palouse River sometimes flows like a meandering stream, or rages and races downstream to Snake River and finally into the Columbia River. And of course the massive Its an historic tale and a modern 2-3 day visit including the wild, if tame, Ground Hogs which do their best to command your attention. But be careful as they sometimes don't distinguish between your offering and your finger. Best just to watch.
